SURVEY SERVICES
One of the more well-known survey software and questionnaire tool, MyTextX is used by many teacher in our country. It provides its users with many different types of survey questions (including multiple choice, open comments and Likert scales). This tool is perfect for controlling student's knowledge.
2) Twitter
As explained by Twitter, “Twitter Polls allow you to weigh in on questions posed by other people on Twitter. You can also easily create your own poll and see the results instantly.” Responding to a poll gives you a chance to share what you’re feeling with other Twitter users, while hosting a poll will provide valuable insight into what your followers think and feel.
Overall, the benefits of Twitter Polls include:
- Direct social listening opportunities
- Easy to measure
- Ease of use for both audience and creator
- Real-time results
- Quick feedback
- Participant anonymity
- Openness of polls to any Twitter user
3) Google Forms
Google Forms is the only free online survey tool that provides free skip logic, which is pretty awesome. This will probably be the first pick for most.
I personally choose this service in my everyday life, for example when I'd like to know my groupmates' opinion about some important question concerning my group's routine.
Here is the example of such a survey: My group's survey
4) Socrative
Teachers can easily use Socrative to create quizzes and games for their students. It can give instant feedback and results to teachers, and is a fun way to start off each class period, review for an upcoming assessment, or just for a quick interactive poll. I prefer to use it when teachers ask us to prepare some tests or quizes for the next lesson.
Here is the example of such a test: Test in socrative
