Seminar 2

Here I'd like to share my opinion about some sites and programs that can help learners in their study.
1. Listening, Speaking and Pronunciation
I found this program usefull, but design and users interface aren't impressive. I might say it to be a little bit old-faschion
I found this project really cool, it is an easy to use and it has an intuitive interface. A lot of pictures, videous and sounds make the process of learning even more effective. The only disadvantage is that you can't use it for free.

2. Reading and Writing

I would't recomend this site for anybody. It is too boring and uninteresting
This is a complete site, with free reading and listening texts from those for absolute beginners, to a few with 8000 headwords. This is great news for teachers who are searching for texts to bridge the gap between most graded readers and texts for native speakers.

3. Grammar

I found this program useful. With MyEnglishLab you can practice for your exam wherever you are and as often as you want. It offers you a wide range of interactive activities for reading, writing, listening, speaking grammar and vocabulary.

4. Vocabulary

This is a very interesting site for learning vocabulary. Here you can not only translate some words, but also start some activity like fladhcards, Fill-in-the-blanks, world scramble etc. It makes the process of learning more enjoyable!

Comments

  1. I absolutely share your opinion about Rosetta Stone, its design doesn`t catch an eye. Thank you for your informative review, I will examine some of the sites, I haven`t known yet.
